Born in 1961, Lita Cabellut is a highly esteemed Spanish multidisciplinary artist, recognized as the third most valued Spanish artist and voted as the best artist of the Netherlands in 2020. Growing up as a street child in Barcelona, Lita was adopted at the age of twelve and subsequently introduced to the Spanish masters at the Prado Museum. This experience ignited her passion for art, leading her to move to the Netherlands at 19 to study at the Gerrit Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam.
 
Throughout her career, Cabellut has developed a distinctive technique that fuses large-scale canvases with traditional fresco methods and contemporary media applications. Her work primarily revolves around the human experience and societal messages, which she eloquently conveys through her striking, monumental portraits. Lita Cabellut's oeuvre extends beyond painting, encompassing drawings on paper, sculptures, photography, scenography, installations, poetry, visual poems, and videos. She has also ventured into opera scenography, creating stage, costume, and video designs. Guided by a poetic sensibility, Cabellut's multidisciplinary approach has resonated with audiences worldwide. Her works have been exhibited in numerous museums globally, including the Seoul Arts Center in Korea, the Contemporary Art Museum in Sicily, Italy, and CSMVS in Mumbai, India. Her art is also featured in the permanent collections of several prestigious institutions, such as Museo Goya IberCaja in Zaragoza, Spain; Museo de Arte Contemporánea in Sicilia, Italy; The Fendi Collection, Italy; Museu Europeu d'Art Modern, Vila Casas Foundation, Spain; Théâtre Mogador, France; and Copelouzos, Greece.
